For as long as I can remember, the world has revealed itself through a viewfinder. What began as an instinctive pull towards light, composition and the quiet drama of everyday places drew me into a career as a professional photographer - defined by a deep respect for the power of the image.
After years of practice my cameras have travelled a wide spectrum of professional work. Editorial photography taught me how to respond quickly to unfolding situations and stories. Corporate assignments demanded precision, clarity and an understanding of visual strategy - how images can speak the language of brands. Architectural photography honed my ability to render structure, scale and material with exacting attention to detail, revealing the character of spaces through light and perspective.
But beneath my professional accomplishments ran a quieter, enduring thread: a desire to explore photography not only as work, but as an evolving lens based artistic practice. This impulse eventually crystallised into studying for an MA in Arts Practice, a period that expanded my creative vocabulary and connected me with the conceptual, personal and experimental roots of image-making. It marked a shift from “taking photographs” towards engaging critically with what images mean, how they function, and why certain landscapes call me back again and again.
Today, I am creating a new sense of clarity and direction to my work. My focus has turned towards artist books and fine prints, each project shaped by memory, environmental change, and personal resonance. I ask, how landscapes hold stories and how the act of looking can become a form of caring.
My photography is emerging as a practice both seasoned and renewed - rooted in decades of professional craft, yet still driven by the curiosity of someone learning to see. My work continues to evolve, guided by the belief that landscape is not just a subject, but a companion in an ongoing conversation between place, time, memory and the attentive eye behind the lens.
